Optoma announces the HD25 2000 ANSI Lumen 1080p Full 3D Home Entertainment Projector

London, February 2013 – Optoma today announce the HD25, a Full HD home entertainment projector and successor to the best-selling HD23. The new projector couples the cinematic heritage of digital projector technology from the Optoma ThemeScene high-end home cinema range to 2000 ANSI Lumens of brightness to produce Full HD viewing and cinematic quality images.

The HD25 features Dynamic Black contrast technology to adjust lamp output automatically for each frame leading to a contrast ratio of 20,000:1. Optoma have also incorporated the very latest 3D developments to make the HD25 a Full 3D projector capable of displaying true 3D content from almost any 3D display device, including 3D Blu-ray, PS3, Xbox and Sky3D.

Justin Halls, Head of Product Management at Optoma Europe commented, “Most movies are shot at 24 frames per second to preserve the purity of the original image the HD25 can accept high definition sources at 24 frames per second and so display source material just as intended. The HD25 is an extremely versatile Full 3D home entertainment projector, combining exceptional colour rendition and cinematic picture performance with the additional option to use larger screens for larger viewing environments.”

ZF2100 active shutter glasses are available for a seamless 3D experience. The Optoma second-generation wireless 3D glasses are fully rechargeable and optimised to provide a higher contrast and brighter image experience than ever before.

Featuring a full range of analogue and digital inputs, including 2 x HDMI (v1.4a 3D) connectivity to the latest digital entertainment devices such as Blu-ray ™ players and gaming consoles is simple and straightforward. Not only is the HD25 perfect for big screen cinema experiences but is also bright enough to be used in ambient light conditions for fully immersive gaming.

The HD25 incorporates BrilliantColor™ multi-colour processing technology to bring stunning, vibrant colour to your screen. Using six separate primary and secondary colours to produce a new level of colour performance and control. BrilliantColor™ increases colour brightness by up to 50% over other technologies to create vibrant, true to life images.

Indeed, so confident is Optoma of its picture quality that its unique guarantee warrants colour quality for at least five years.
