Optoma expands Digital Signage capabilities with the OP1022WTDS and OP1022WDS 22” Integrated Digital Signage Panel with and without touch facility.

London UK, March 2011: Projector specialist Optoma, having entered the digital signage market in 2009 with the launch of the successful SignShow D5000 high definition (HD) media player and the SignShow 7POP, now introduce an integrated 22” digital signage LCD panel which features both touch screen and non-touch versions. These products are further additions to the substantial Optoma digital signage range.

Both 22” screen options neatly and cleanly integrate the highly rated Optoma D5000, an advanced HD media player that provides the ideal hub for powering any stand alone or networked digital signage installation. Each screen provides a compelling solution to the Digital Signage marketplace, combining a media player into the panel to produce the ideal solution when space is at a premium or where an elegant solution in required. Indeed the depth of the panel is fewer than 65mm deep whilst the touchscreen version (OP1022WTDS) features a 3M capacitive touch screen for interactive environments.

The integrated panels are fully compatible with the proprietary Optoma InfoSAP content creation software bundled with both versions of the OP1022WDS enabling installations to be easily designed, previewed and to publish their message to a hi-def screen with a full 1680 x1050 resolution of addressable pixels. Both screens feature analogue and digital inputs.

The Optoma digital signage offering is specifically designed to offer installation partners flexible, profitable, high specification digital signage solutions that suit a number of applications, such as commercial, retail outlets, hotels and leisure chains, restaurants and bars, plus travel sites such as airports and train stations.

With SignShow InfoSAP Creator and InfoSAP Admin Software for Windows included as part of the complete offering, users can easily design, preview, publish and manage the schedule signage content and messaging. Full LAN network capability also means the media player can be controlled, configured and managed remotely.

“The out of home (OOH) media market is expected to quadruple from 160 million Euro in 2007 to over 626million by 2012, driven by retailers, brands and advertisers who want to better target consumers away from home*,” said Bob Johnson, Product Manager of Optoma Digital Signage Division. “Optoma has recognised the potential of this market and through the development of our range of high specification, yet cost-effective digital signage solutions we can enable installers to take full advantage of this growing demand.”
