Optoma launches EX785 - a new high performance installation projector with interchangeable lenses, full lens shift and Crestron Roomview™ compatibility

Watford, June 2010 – The new Optoma EX785 (XGA resolution) installation projector offers a range of features including high brightness, full lens shift and interchangeable lens options aimed at further extending connectivity and ease of installation. The combination of high performance and exceptional brightness at 5000 ANSI Lumens make this projector perfect in situations where high luminosity is needed; conferencing facilities, large auditoriums, halls and bars.

Optoma supplies three optional lens solutions: a standard lens, a fixed length short-throw lens and a long throw lens to easily equip the projector for almost all types of room and venue. Projection distances from as little as 0.5m to 20m are covered with ease. The design incorporates a centre lens configuration and extensive vertical (-15/+60%) and (+/-10%) horizontal lens shift to ensure maximum flexibility.

Once installed, the Optoma projector is easily managed. In addition to AMX ® Dynamic Discovery, Optoma now offers Crestron Roomview ™ compatibility, a custom configurable interface to monitor, manage and control every device in every room remotely via a network.

The inherent speed of Texas Instruments™ latest DarkChip™ 3 120Hz chipsets allow full screen, full colour, stereoscopic 3D images to be produced using compatible 3D content such as 3D design and modelling software for professional use. Support for 3D TV broadcasts and 3D Blu-Ray may be possible at a later date using additional hardware.

The EX785 also includes an extensive range of inputs and outputs including 5BNC, HDMI, DVI-D, component video and dual VGA inputs whilst five audio inputs provide audio switching and volume control to provide comprehensive support for all environments. Two +12v trigger outputs are provided as standard.

The EX785 not only delivers reduced running costs, but reinforce the commitment to “environmentally friendly” features such as timer control functions, fast shutdown and start-up and <1 watt power consumption in standby mode. Lowered total cost of ownership coupled with virtually maintenance-free design ensures there are no hidden costs to owning an Optoma projector.

The Optoma EX785 projector will be available from selected UK Pro AV dealers from the beginning of June 2010. The recommended retail prices are:
