Optoma unveils world’s first state of the art 4K HLD projector at ISE 2016

Optoma, award-winning projector and audio brand, will showcase its AV developments with a number of unique projection demonstrations – going where flat screens cannot follow. Visitors to the stand (1-M80) will be among the first in Europe to see Optoma’s 4K and high lumen density (HLD) projectors in action.

Optoma’s demonstrations will be organised into five zones: 4K; HLD; corporate and education; ProScene solutions and home. Demonstrations not to miss include:

  • State of the art HLD 4K display with industry leading colour accuracy

  • New 4K UHD display – experience the detail

  • F1 racing car simulator with blended LED projection display for seamless race track view. There are prizes to win every day of the show for the top three fastest drivers.

  • Dynamic, digitally driven, projection mapped solution – using the Mirror Head (Dynamic Projection Institute) and Optoma ProScene ZU650 laser-phosphor projector

  • 24,000 lumen ultra-bright dual stack – using the new Optoma ProScene WU1500 WUXGA projector and GB-200 image processor

  • Exceptional Full HD home entertainment for lights-on viewing

  • Corporate and education collaborative solutions – including Optoma’s lamp-less, super-wide UST solution

  • Innovative retail digital signage solutions - using laser phosphor projector for flexible installation, great colours and more consistent brightness

  • NuForce sound range – combining superior style with high resolution audio

Len Carlton, Managing Director of Optoma EMEA, said: “Optoma is always striving to embrace new technology and engage in bespoke installations and projects. The ProScene solutions, designed for the Pro AV market and new 4K and HLD products are recognition of this. We are excited to unveil our latest developments in projection technology.”

4K HLD display with industry leading colour accuracy

Optoma, in partnership with Texas Instruments and Phillips, will be demonstrating the first 4K LED High Lumen Density (HLD) projector. Optoma introduced the first 1080p LED HLD projector at InfoComm in June 2015 and is excited to again hold an industry first by featuring the technology progression from 1080p HLD to 4K.

Optoma’s Head of Visual System Solutions & Technical Services, Justin Halls, said: “HLD technology will enable a new generation of far brighter LED DLP projectors with industry leading colour performance and accuracy. Optoma is proud to be leading the way and introducing it to the home cinema market in 2016.”

4K ultra-high definition (UHD) display

Visitors to the stand will be able to view Optoma’s 4K UHD projector. Unlike other technologies, the single-chip DLP design avoids alignment issues to deliver extreme precision with no ghosting.

The DLP 4K UHD solution delivers more than 8 million pixels to the screen with 4 million mirrors.  Each mirror is capable of switching over 9,000 times per second, creating two distinct and unique pixels on the screen during every frame to deliver full 4K UHD resolution.

ProScene solution zone

The ProScene solutions zone will feature a 24,000 lumen ultra-bright dual stack using Optoma’s new flagship ProScene WU1500 installation projector and GB-200 image processor. The WU1500 dual-lamp WUXGA projector is the brightest in the ProScene range, delivering 12000 lumens. Images are pin-sharp due to the 1920 x 1200 resolution, and the unit is capable of continuous 24/7 operation.

BRD Simulation Racing Technology, Dynamic Projection Institute and Projection Artworks will join Optoma at ISE 2016 to demonstrate the connectivity and creativity capabilities of Optoma’s projectors.

Halls added, “We invited these companies to join us as they are market leaders in their fields. This means we can offer some of the most exciting and innovative projection solutions, which we’ll be showcasing on our stand at ISE 2016”.

F1 racing car simulator with blended LED projection display

Visitors to the stand will be able to experience one of the most advanced full motion racing simulators and put their driving skills and bravery to the test!  Sitting in BRD’s absolutely authentic carbon composite SimCell monocoque you will feel the full G force of the unique V1-500 range of motion. Combining its ultra-realistic motion generation with its state of the art seamless curved display; created using three Optoma LED ML750e projectors, simulation has reached a new level.

Dynamic, digitally driven, projection mapped solution

Dynamic Projection Institute will showcase its unique Mirror Head product using Optoma’s ProScene ZU650 laser-phosphor projector to create an engaging projection mapped retail display. Three high-tech Mirror Head units, each combined with a ZU650 projector will demonstrate the dynamic solution with images and video moving across different surfaces before coming together to create one seamless panoramic projection display.

Innovative and inspiring POS and retail displays going beyond the screen.

Projection Artworks, the UK’s leading pioneer in projection-based retail solutions, will demonstrate its daylight-visible window displays and interactive product showcases. Powered by LED and laser DLP projectors from Optoma, these displays bring digital to the physical, by actually applying animated content onto or around products, to generate engagement and sales to the shop floor.

Home zone

Optoma will showcase its latest 1080p home projectors designed for lights-on entertainment. There will be live demonstrations of the popular ultra short throw projector, the GT5500 and the award-winning HD28DSE projector with DARBEE Visual Presence™ technology.

The GT5500 will be coupled with an ambient light reflective screen to deliver astounding performance in a high brightness environment. The ultra-short throw lens allows you to show extra-large 100-inch images on any wall, with the GT5500 placed just 30cm away. This makes it a neat solution for any living room and guarantees a huge picture the whole family can enjoy without any shadows cast from gamers or people going to fetch the popcorn.

Created for movie fans, Optoma’s HD28DSE boasts integrated DARBEE Visual Presence image enhancement technology which uses neuro-biologic algorithms to enhance detail and depth in skin tones, textures, and reflective surfaces. The end result is video games, Blu-ray movies and HDTV programming with amazing image clarity.

Optoma will officially launch its expanded range of NuForce audio products in the home zone to include the new super-small DSD DAC and headphone amp - the uDAC5.

The highly acclaimed BE6 premium Bluetooth® in-ear headphones will also be on show - a wireless model that gives audio enthusiasts a cordless experience without compromising on sound quality.

Corporate and education zone

Top of the bill in this zone is the latest addition to Optoma’s ultra-short throw product range, the ZH300UW. Based on laser-phosphor technology, the ZH300UW possess a unique ultra-wide aspect ratio allowing an increased number of users to interact at the display and also accommodates two 4:3 images in a picture-by-picture format.

Featuring a solid-state laser-phosphor light engine instead of a traditional projector lamp, the ZH300UW produces a brightness of 3,000 lumens along with great colours. The laser engine eliminates the cost of replacement projector lamps, and has a life expectancy of up to 20,000 hours.

Also being demonstrated in this zone is the 1080p ultra short throw interactive projector, the EH320UST. This uses a new generation of finger-touch interactive technology, enabling several people to work simultaneously on the screen without using a pen. Its mounting system and intuitive interactive setup enables fast and simple setup with virtually no maintenance or calibration.

Experts from Optoma’s Product Management team and European Sales regions will be on hand to provide technical knowledge, one-to-one demonstrations and sales support.

ISE 2016 takes place from 9th to 12th February 2016 at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam. The Optoma stand can be found in Hall 1, stand 1-M80. Use the code 705254 to receive your free entry ticket: https://www.iseurope.org
