Optoma unveils new laser ultra short throw home projector – HZ40UST

Optoma has unveiled a new ultra short throw home entertainment projector, the HZ40UST. With ground-breaking laser technology and bright 4000 lumens, this Full HD 1080p projector is ideal for use any time of day. The small chassis, simple set up and integrated speakers make this projector the perfect option for any home.

Kishan Mistry, Senior Product Manager at Optoma EMEA, said: “High Definition coupled with laser technology delivers a truly spectacular big screen experience.

“And the unrivalled set-up convenience of our high brightness, ultra-short throw HZ40UST creates an exceptional 100-inch Full HD display that can be installed, tidied away after use or taken with you.”

For those who love to game and watch TV, sports or films on a big screen, the HZ40UST can project imagery up to 100 inches diagonal from just 30cm away without any hassle of shadows or cables running across the room. And with low latency, gamers can enjoy a quick response time.

The HZ40UST’s sleek design, high brightness and mobility allow users to move it from one room to another. It fits perfectly into any interior due to its crisp white colour. It comes equipped with a built-in speaker that delivers powerful 10W audio, with exceptional sound quality. An audio output connector is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.

Easy to set-up, the HZ40UST’s broad connectivity includes two HDMI and two VGA inputs for connection to any device. This means games consoles, Blu-ray players or digital television set top boxes can be simultaneously connected, making switching between sources literally the push of a button.

It can be turned into a smart projector by connecting an HDMI dongle like the Google Chromecast™, Amazon Fire™ or Apple TV™ to play games, stream videos and share photos on the big screen at home.

The HZ40UST displays true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and the latest generation games consoles.

For maximum contrast and brightness, it can be used with Optoma’s 100” ambient light rejecting ALR100 screen.
