Optoma's new ambient light rejecting projector screen gives better contrast and brighter images

TV fans, gamers and those that love to watch sporting events or films will be thrilled with the new ambient light rejecting projector screen from Optoma – the ALR100. This high performance front projection screen is engineered to achieve vibrant images even in brightly lit rooms.

Super-sized images can be enjoyed on the new 100-inch fixed frame screen any time of day. Its specialised screen surface is designed to actively reflect a projected image for high contrast and solid colour saturation while preventing ambient light from washing out the picture.

Joe Ahmed, Head of Marketing at Optoma EMEA, commented: ““We are excited to unveil our new ambient light rejecting screen. When coupled with our GT5500 ultra short throw projector the solution delivers an exceptional 100-inch Full HD image to meet the ever increasing demands for a big screen display - even in bright ambient lighting conditions.”

Designed for use with an ultra short throw projector, the ALR100 works perfectly with the Optoma GT5500 projector. Its ultra short lens will fill the huge 100-inch ALR100 screen size with the projector placed just 30cm away. This makes it a neat solution for any living room and guarantees a huge picture the whole family can enjoy without shadows cast from gamers or people going to fetch the popcorn.

The ALR100’s narrow bezel delivers a stylish, modern look that will compliment any living space. Its 0.42 gain provides wide viewing angles from any seating position – perfect for gaming or watching the big game with friends. It also enables deeper black levels for fine details in darker scenes – even with the lights on.
