Optoma QUAD LED display awarded ‘Best of Show’ at ISE 2019

Showcasing its latest developments in display and audio technology at ISE 2019, Optoma was awarded Best of Show by Installation for its new QUAD LED display (FHDQ130).

Thierry Millet, Managing Director of Optoma EMEA, said: “The QUAD LED display is a game changer for LED displays.  Its unique pre-build process significantly reduces the complexity of a traditional LED build. This not only dramatically reduces installation time from multiple days to just a couple of hours, but more importantly, cuts the total project cost for AV installers.

“We feel privileged to win this industry-renowned award for our latest development in LED display technology. The QUAD LED display series further strengthens our expanding range of large display solutions that meet the needs of our customer and partners.”

The fully optimised FHDQ130 produces a glorious 130 inch (2.88 x 1.62 m) Full HD 1080p image with incredible depth of colour and detail.

It pioneers a unique 4-in-1 Surface Mount Diode layout, with the LED diodes set in clusters of four. This not only creates a smoother screen surface for a better image quality and wide viewing angle, but also makes the design more robust with individual diodes less likely to get damaged during installation and use.

This all-in-one solution comes pre-calibrated out-of-the-box, removing the hassle of managing software and the various associated files, while ensuring the image is optimised for immediate use. Integrated HQUltra and media player technology eliminates the need for any additional separate devices associated with traditional LED solutions and provides additional features such as Picture in Picture.  It also ensures that whatever device or content is plugged into the display, it will automatically scale it to present perfectly.

With a range of connectivity and control options including dual HDMI, USB, RS232 and HDBaseT, the display is designed to be easy to operate and can be networked. It can also be connected to a smart phone or tablet using Optoma’s Connect Q application.

The ability to control the display from a central control system and its eco-friendly ErP compliant <0.5W standby mode saves energy costs through reduced power consumption.
