Optoma unveils next evolution of its ultra short throw home projector - HD35UST

Optoma has unveiled the next evolution of its GT5500 ultra short throw home entertainment projector, the HD35UST. With 3600 lumens and Full HD 1080p resolution, this bright next generation model provides razor sharp images with optimum colour performance even with the lights on.

For those who love to game and watch TV, sports or films on a big screen, the HD35UST can project imagery up to 100 inches diagonal from just 30cm away without any hassle of shadows or cables running across the room.

Kishan Mistry, Senior Product Manager at Optoma EMEA, said: “The unrivalled set-up convenience of our high brightness, ultra-short throw HD35UST creates an exceptional 100-inch Full HD experience that can be placed directly in front of a wall or screen for permanent use, tidied away after occasional use or taken round to a friend’s house.”

The HD35UST sleek design, high brightness and mobility allow users to move it from one room to another. It fits perfectly into any interior due to its crisp white colour.  It comes equipped with a built-in speaker that delivers powerful 16W audio, with exceptional sound quality. An audio output connector is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.

Set-up is simple with a host of connection options including two HDMI and two VGA inputs for connection to any device. This projector also works with Optoma’s WHD200 which is designed to stream video content wirelessly - up to 20 metres in any room.

It can be turned into a smart projector by connecting an HDMI dongle like the Google Chromecast™, Amazon Fire™ or Apple TV™ to play games, stream videos and share photos on the big screen at home.

The new model comes with the added benefit of vertical and horizontal keystone and four corner geometric adjustment. This gives quick and accurate set-up, ideal for uneven walls or where a projector placement is at an angle from the screen. In addition, when the projector is not centred directly in front of the projection surface, the auto vertical keystone feature will detect and correct the distorted image with the touch of a button.

The HD35UST can display true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and the latest generation games consoles. For 3D viewing, the Optoma ZD302 glasses (sold separatelyuse DLP® Link™ active shutter technology to automatically sync with the on-screen image.

For maximum contrast and brightness, it can be used with Optoma’s 100” ambient light rejecting ALR100 screen. For more information on this screen visit: www.optoma.com
